The Colne Valley Fisheries Consultative is a membership organisation open to local riparian owners, angling clubs, holders of fishing rights, private and commercial fishery managers, local government and environmental groups and anyone having an interest in aquatic habitats in the Colne Valley catchment.
Our membership includes the vast majority of angling clubs and fisheries in the Colne catchment. CVFC members offer coarse and game fishing on more than 75 different lakes covering 1000 acres, plus the Grand Union Canal and extensive fisheries on the rivers of the catchment; Rivers Colne, Ver, Gade, Bulbourne, Chess, Misbourne, Frays, Hartsbourne, Tykeswater, Pinn, Colnebrook, Duke of Northumberland & Wraysbury. This amounts to more than 75 miles of river/ canal fishing.
We estimate there are approximately 150,000 anglers who regularly fish in the Colne Valley who make a significant contribution to the local economy.
